Mookaite

Mookaite, also known as Mookaite jasper, is a captivating gemstone formed millions of years ago through volcanic activity. It's primarily composed of microcrystalline quartz, often with inclusions of chalcedony and feldspar, resulting in its characteristic red, brown, yellow, and cream colors. It's typically opaque, with a waxy or glassy luster.

Mookaite has long been prized in Indigenous Australian cultures for its grounding and protective properties. In various spiritual practices, it's believed promote emotional well-being, foster a connection to the Earth as well as, enhance feelings of strength, confidence and inner peace. This stone is associated with the solar plexus, sacral and root chakras.
